Homemade Carpet Deodorizer

One problem with deodorizing powder is that their fragrance may irritate members of the household with allergies or chronic respiratory conditions. Get rid of that problem with a homemade carpet deodorizer!

Homemade Carpet Deodorizer:

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 – 2 cups Baking Soda or Borax
• 20-30 drops of purification
• 5-10 drops Other Essential Oils for desired Scent
• Jar with holes in lid

Directions:

• Mix the ingredients in the jar, cover the holes and shake.
• Sprinkle it on carpet, vacuum immediately or let sit for deeper odors, then vacuum.

I love this DIY Carpet Deodorizer, Chemical Free recipe. This homemade carpet deodorizer smells so good and it doesn’t burn your lungs when you breath! I used to take using a powder on my carpet because I always felt like I was suffocating while I was vacuuming. Now, I never vacuum with out my homemade carpet deodorizer!

Bonus…it can be any scent you want! I always use Purification Essential Oil for its power to suck the odors out of everything. Then, I add my favorite oils for scent! I like to use a citrus because it helps you feel awake, but I also love the sweet scent of Valor or Peace and Calming. What Essential Oils would you use?
