Against The Grain
Many essential oils are safe to use directly on the skin (topically) or with a carrier oil:
Apply the oils directly on the desired area using 1-3 drops of oil (more is not always better), following the dilution instructions on the bottle.
Suggested areas: feet, behind ears, wrists, on front of the neck, and base of the skull
Use Vita Flex Therapy as a simple method of applying oils to carry them along the neuro-electrical pathway to benefit the particular organ.
Remember to always dilute with children (1 tablespoon per drop of essential oil) or if you have sensitive skin
Never place essential oils directly in your eyes or ears
CAUTION: Essential oils are very potent and some may be irritating to the skin. If irritation occurs, immediately apply Young Living's V-6 oil or any pure carrier oil to the area to dilute. Please read individual label directions before using
Inhaling certain essential oils heightens the senses and can have many positive effects on the body. Try these ideas to use essential oils for inhalation:
Inhale directly from the bottle
Place a drop in your cupped hand, rub palms together to the face and breathe slow and steadily for 1 minute
Diffuser with an ultrasonic diffuser
Sprinkle a few drops on a cotton ball and place near air vents at home or in the car
Carefully pour hot water into the bowl and add a few drops of essential oil. Cover your head and bowl in a tent-like fashion with a towel. Breathe deeply and slowly.
Young Living Essential Oils are the ONLY brand we recommend when ingesting as a dietary supplement because of its 100% purity and therapeutic benefits. Never attempt to ingest other brands from health-food stores that are most likely adulterated with chemicals. These are absolutely NOT safe to ingest.
When determining the appropriate way to ingest, please carefully read the label on the Young Living Essential Oil bottle.
Again, NEVER ingest essential oils from health-food stores or if the bottle states on the label "Do not ingest or not for internal consumption."
