Chemical Free Dishwasher Detergent

Many of the ingredients in dish washing detergents aren’t named due to copyright protection! The ones that are disclosed are vague terms like stabilizer, buffer, colors, fragrance and water thickening agent. What do those things even mean?! We don’t even know what is going onto the dishes we are eating off of!

Homemade Chemical Free Dish Detergent:

Ingredients:

• 1 cup baking soda
• 1 cup borax
• 1/4 cup citric acid
• 15 drops lemon essential oil
• 10 drops orange essential oil

Directions:

• Mix together in a quart jar or a bowl
• Add sachet of white rice to absorb moisture
• Add 2 Tbsp of detergent per load

This isn’t just a chemical free dish detergent, it even works better than the cancer causing stuff at the store!

Homemade Chemical Free Jet Dry:

• 1 cup of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
• 10-15 drops of Lemon Essential Oil, Thieves Essential Oil, or Lavender Essential Oil

I used to be a huge Jet Dry fan. I hate water spots, they make me feel like I have dirty dishes. This DIY Jet Dry works just as well!
